District Rural Development Agency
Introduction
Central Government and State Government sponsored housing schemes. To implement housing scheme provide financial support to the needy families who are homeless and have raw houses. The beneficiary is selected based on the list of Socio Economic and Caste Survey 2011.
After selecting the beneficiary based on the list of Socio-Economic and Caste Survey 2011, the beneficiary’s residential house [Raw House] is Geo-Tagged, Job Card Mapping, the beneficiary’s account is linked to the PFMS system for distribution of funds, and the names of the beneficiaries are proposed to the Panchayat Samiti for approval at the district level. The beneficiaries approved at the district level are given the first instalment at the taluka level under Direct Benefit Transfer [DBT]. The beneficiary should take care of the construction himself, so that he can build a house according to his own expectations, for this, no contractor is involved in this scheme. Strict efforts have been made for this.
At each stage of house construction, the financial and physical progress is reviewed at the district and taluka levels on the actual construction through Geo Tag and other technologies and accordingly the 2nd, 3rd, and final instalments are paid in a manner consistent with the physical progress. The beneficiary is paid Rs. 297/- per day for 90 days of employment through MGNREGA. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, an amount of Rs. 12,000/- is provided separately for the construction of toilets to the beneficiary who is in the baseline list.
