Maternal and Child Health Services
A) Antenatal Care (Care During Pregnancy):

Registration of all pregnant women (within 12 weeks of pregnancy).

Minimum of five check-ups during pregnancy:

First check-up: As soon as pregnancy is suspected.

Second check-up: By 12 weeks.

Third check-up: Between 4 to 6 months (by 26 weeks).

Fourth check-up: During the eighth month (by 32 weeks).

Fifth check-up: During the ninth month (by 36 weeks).
B) Intranatal Services (During Delivery):

Emphasis on institutional deliveries (encouraging deliveries at health facilities).

Ensure deliveries are conducted by trained personnel following the 5 principles of cleanliness.

Provide timely and appropriate referral services when necessary.
C) Postnatal Care (After Delivery):

At least two home visits after delivery:

First visit: Within 48 hours after delivery.

Second visit: Between 7 to 10 days; in case of low birth weight babies, the first visit should be within 48 hours.

Additional visits on Day 7, 14, 21, and 28 – totaling five visits.
