Beneficiary:

1.All pregnant and lactating mothers for the first time 2. All lactating mothers having a girl child in the second instance

Benefits:

For the first child, an amount of ₹5000 is given in two installments: First installment of ₹3000: Registration of pregnancy at a state government-approved health facility and completion of at least one antenatal check-up within 6 months from the last menstrual period is mandatory. Second installment of ₹2000: Submission of the birth registration certificate and completion of primary immunization of the child with BCG, OPV, DPT, IPV, and Hepatitis-B vaccines (or equivalent) is required. In the case of a second girl child, a single installment of ₹6000 is provided. The benefit for the second girl child can be availed only after completion of primary immunization post-birth. If, during the second pregnancy, more than one child is born (twins/triplets/quads), and one or more of them are girls, the lactating mother will be eligible for the benefit for one girl child as per the scheme rules.
