Janani Suraksha Yojana

Area of Operation:

Rural and urban regions of the district.

 

Beneficiary:

Pregnant women from families below the poverty line (BPL), and from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) are eligible regardless of age. Eligible women are entitled to benefits irrespective of the number of children they have, provided delivery takes place in a government health facility or an approved private health facility under the Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY).

Benefits:

1.₹ 500 for home deliveries 2.₹ 700 for beneficiaries in rural areas 3.₹ 600 for beneficiaries in urban areas 4.₹ 1500 to the specialist for performing a cesarean section
